Research Focus

Geographic information science with a primary focus on real-time systems, artificial intelligence, and machine learning in the context of agricultural systems.

Research objectives are to advance the state-of-the-art in GIScience in order to:

  1. Identify and test generalizable principles underlying the spatial and temporal dynamics of agent (e.g. human-human, human-environment, environment-plant, etc) interactions

  2. Identify applied solutions for more efficiently and effectively integrating real-time data and spatial modeling into decision support systems for agricultural management and policy.
